Bees Pollinate Coriander Flowers
Some vegetables cilantro plants turn to flowers at their end of season and provide the local honey bees and other bees with precious nectar and pollen. The pollen on these coriander flowers was seen to be a light pink color in the bees pollen baskets on the hind legs.
They were really very busy and flew from flower to flower, seeking the next food source.

The coriander flowers attract many bees that obtain plenty pinkish pollen from the tiny cluster flowers. The plants are insect pollinated, therefore the bees are doing an important job by pollinating. The flowers will not cross pollinate with other vegetables or herbs.
